I’ve always believed that travel is about far more than ticking places off a list — it’s about connection. It’s about the faces you meet, the stories you hear, and the moments that stay with you long after you’ve unpacked your bags. That belief became the heartbeat of Face 2 Face Adventures.

My journey into travel grew from a deep love for culture, creativity, and people. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to lead groups of incredible women through inspiring destinations such as India, Morocco, and Türkiye — each country rich with its own rhythm, flavour, and soul. These journeys shaped my approach to travel and affirmed what I’ve always known: the most meaningful experiences happen when you slow down and engage with life as it’s lived locally.

I’m not a “tour guide” in the traditional sense. I see myself as a connector — someone who creates safe, welcoming spaces where women can travel confidently, laugh freely, learn deeply, and experience the world face to face. Whether it’s wandering spice-filled markets, sharing a home-cooked meal in a village, or sitting quietly with locals as daily life unfolds, my tours are about participation, not observation.

This philosophy is exactly why adding South Africa as a Face 2 Face destination felt like a natural next step. South Africa is not a country you simply visit — it’s one you experience through its people, landscapes, stories, and everyday moments. From vibrant cities and rural villages to coastlines and mountains, its depth is found in the small, authentic encounters that never make it into guidebooks.

A vital part of that experience is South Africa’s diverse culinary culture. Shaped by indigenous traditions and generations of global influence, food here tells stories of heritage, resilience, and community. Shared tables, local markets, regional specialities, and home-style cooking are central to how I introduce South Africa to my guests — because meals are about connection, not just cuisine.

My passion for travel is also closely tied to my love for design and craftsmanship. I’m endlessly inspired by textiles, colour, and handmade beauty. Many Face 2 Face tours include visits to artisans, workshops, and markets where we meet the people behind the work — the hands that dye, carve, stitch, and create. These encounters remind me that travel and creativity speak the same language: both come from the heart.

What I treasure most about leading women-only tours is the transformation that happens within the group. Strangers arrive, but friends leave — bonded by shared laughter, new perspectives, and the courage that comes from stepping outside the ordinary. I’ve seen women find healing, inspiration, confidence, and lifelong friendships on these journeys — and that, to me, is the true reward.

Every journey I design is personal and intentional — crafted with care, curiosity, and thoughtful detail. It’s about balancing adventure with comfort, discovery with reflection, and exploration with genuine connection.

For me, travel isn’t just about seeing the world — it’s about letting the world change you, one face, one story, and one meaningful experience at a time.
